Step Out and Serve Description On Sunday, August 24, 2008, we are planning lunch together after the 11:00 worship service and then go out into the community and do projects which may include: painting, washing windows, cleaning and general landscaping. We are encouraging all ages to help out. Contact Vern Nemitz for more information at 895-1500.

Brush Up Nebraska Description Members and friends of Divine Shepherd will be painting a house in Omaha on August 23, 2008 for someone in need. If you can help, please call Vern or Kathy in the church office (895-1500) to sign up.

Blood Drive Description We will be having a blood drive on May 3 and August 16, 2008. The Red Cross is in great need of blood donors with the war going on and the number of baby boomers requiring surgery. If you can help reach our goal of 75 donors, please call Kathy or Vern in the church office (895-1500) for a time slot. As we have been given so much, let us give back to our community. Habitat for Humanity Description We will start again in June 2008.

Embrace Teachers Description We have adopted an Omaha Public School east of 72nd street which is Liberty Elementary School. Throughout the year we ask for donations from the congregation to help out the school. This month we are collecting children's books for grades preschool - sixth grade.

Millard Days Parade Description For the Past several years we have participated in the Millard Days parade. It's been a great way for us to share our love with the community and have some really good fun.

Keep Omaha Beautiful Description Our church is responsible for Stoneybrook ave. from Hwy 50 to 156th Street. Each month we keep the this street clean in our neighborhood.

StoneyBrook Clean-up Description One of our “30 Gifts for 30 Years” to the Omaha community is the clean-up of Stoneybrook Blvd. Join us on Saturday, August 11 at 8:00 a.m. Contact Vern Nemitz (ext. 213) for more information.
